If you do not have a good ground thru your base or vehicle you are attaching the product to; you would need to select a choose one of our two line or Dual-Wire lead options like RCA.1 (right angle plug) or select the RCA.2 (straight plug). Generally speaking when you secure your whip to your vehicle or base; the whip picks up the ground through the vehicle or base attachment — and in that case all you would need is a simple Hot Plug with Wire to connect positive power to.
