  • The Sellstrom® 290 Series passive style welding helmets are made lightweight Super Tuff nylon for comfort and durability. The specially designed neck bib provides superior protection from sparks and spatter while the patented Sel-Snap lens retention system provides easy loading of filter, cover, and protective plates.
  • Super Tuff nylon is lighter than fiberglass and extremely durable
  • Extended crown provides greater overhead protection
  • Specially designed rigid neck bib provides superior protection from sparks, slag, and spatter
  • Patented Sel-Snap lens retention system provides easy loading of filter, cover, and protective plates
  • Available in standard 2" x 4.25" and 4.5" x 5.25" lift and fixed front options
  • Patented “quick release" ratcheting headgear suspension with sweatband (S27001) included
  • Can be mounted on slotted hard hats using Sellstrom’s dielectric universal slot adaptor (S61970)
  • Proprietary Super Kool silver coating keeps the helmet up to 30% cooler than standard helmets and sheds spatter without burning (models S29311 and S29911)
